ePROTESTS – ONLINE APPEALS
YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE TO FILE A PROTEST THROUGH THE eFILE SYSTEM
eFile is Freestone Central Appraisal District’s new approach to filing protests and working with property owners with concerns about their values online. eFile is available if:
- The “Property Search” function works best with Internet Explorer
Select “Property Search”
Choose either Real Estate or Mineral, based upon the type of property you are wishing to protest.
You can search by:
- Owner Name
- Property Address
- Account Number
- Parcel Number
Once you find the account in question, you can scroll down to find the button labeled “File Protest Online”
Follow the instructions to submit your protest to the Freestone County Appraisal Review Board
You should get a confirmation email with a copy of your protest. If you are using a browser other than Internet Explorer with the Adobe Reader plugin, you may not be able to open the attached copy of the protest.
If you can’t open the protest copy, please email email@example.com to confirm receipt.
